MONTPELIER — A 27-year-old woman was cited for negligent operation after a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 89 northbound near Exit 8 on Oct. 10.
Giovanna Carlson of Newbury was driving a 2018 Subaru Impreza when the crash occurred at approximately 8:46 p.m., according to Vermont State Police.
Carlson was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
Montpelier Ambulance personnel treated Carlson at the scene before transporting her to Central Vermont Medical Center for evaluation of suspected minor injuries.
The vehicle was totaled in the crash.
Road conditions were dry and weather was clear at the time of the incident.
Police investigation determined that Carlson operated the vehicle in a negligent manner, causing the crash to occur.
Carlson was issued a citation to appear in court at a later date.
