SHELDON — An 18-year-old Enosburgh woman died Friday evening in a two-vehicle crash on Vermont Route 105 after fleeing from a traffic stop, Vermont State Police said.

Aryanna Fleming was pronounced dead at the scene of the 6:26 p.m. crash near Kane Road.

Police said a trooper attempted to stop Fleming’s 2010 Honda Crosstour for speeding on Route 105 just west of Colton Road at about 6:27 p.m.

The vehicle failed to stop and continued west at a high rate of speed.

The trooper ceased the attempt to stop the vehicle and did not pursue it.

About two minutes later, the trooper came upon the crash scene involving the same silver vehicle.

Police said Fleming’s Honda went off the westbound shoulder of Route 105, then yawed back across both lanes of travel and collided with a 2000 Toyota Tundra.

The Tundra was operated by Andrea Dillner, 36, of Fletcher.

Fleming was not wearing a seat belt, police said.

Dillner, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered serious injuries and was transported to Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans.

She was later transferred to the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington for treatment.

The Honda sustained substantial damage while the Toyota suffered extreme front-end damage.

Weather conditions were clear and the road was dry at the time of the crash.

The Sheldon Fire Department, Enosburgh Ambulance and AmCare Ambulance assisted at the scene.

Route 105 was closed during the investigation.
