Montpelier man arrested after displaying knife on Memorial Drive

MONTPELIER — A 43-year-old was arrested Oct. 10 after allegedly displaying a knife toward a victim on Memorial Drive.

The Montpelier Police Department received an E911 call that morning from a victim who reported that Victor Pino had displayed a knife toward him while walking on Memorial Drive near Champlain Farms.

Law enforcement located Pino nearby on Main Street and seized a knife from his person.

Pino was arrested following an investigation into the incident.

Pino was held in custody and later transported to the Vermont Superior Court; Washington Criminal Division for arraignment on charges of aggravated assault and violation of conditions of release.

The Montpelier Police Department thanked the Washington County Sheriff’s Office for their assistance with the investigation.
