COBLESKILL — State police arrested 14 people on impaired driving charges across multiple counties between Sept. 19 and Oct. 4.
On Sept. 19 at about 2:24 p.m., State Police of Cobleskill responded to a one-car crash off State Route 7 in Cobleskill.
The driver fled on foot but was identified as Ginger M. Ward, 55, of Sprakers.
Ward, who had a revoked driver’s license, was located in Root and arrested for driving while intoxicated, aggravated unlicensed operation in the first degree and other vehicle and traffic law violations.
She was transported to SP Cobleskill for processing where she recorded a 0.18% BAC.
Ward was issued tickets returnable to Cobleskill Town Court on Oct. 7 and released.
On Sept. 19 at about 3:16 p.m., State Police of Queensbury attempted to stop a vehicle on Aviation Road in Queensbury for a vehicle and traffic law violation.
The driver, later identified as Jake D. Knight, 33, of Hudson Falls, failed to comply and a brief vehicle pursuit was initiated.
Knight eventually stopped due to traffic and was arrested for unlawfully fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle in the third degree, driving while intoxicated and other vehicle and traffic law violations.
He was transported to SP Queensbury for processing where he recorded a 0.22% BAC.
Knight was issued an appearance ticket returnable to Queensbury Town Court on Sept. 29 and released to a sober third party.
On Sept. 19 at about 9:07 p.m., State Police of Mayfield stopped a vehicle on County Road 146 in Mayfield for a vehicle and traffic law violation.
The driver was identified as Jeremy E. St. Louis, 46, of Gloversville, whose driver’s license was revoked.
St. Louis was arrested for aggravated unlicensed operation in the first degree, driving while intoxicated and other vehicle and traffic law violations.
He was transported to SP Mayfield for processing where he recorded a 0.16% BAC.
Investigation discovered St. Louis has had a previous DWI conviction in the last ten years.
He was issued tickets returnable to Mayfield Town Court on Oct. 21 and released to a sober third party.
On Sept. 21 at about 1:31 a.m., State Police of Saratoga stopped a vehicle on I-87 in Malta for a vehicle and traffic law violation.
The driver was identified as Kaiya L. Leveroni, 22, of Averill Park.
Leveroni was arrested for driving while intoxicated and other vehicle and traffic law violations.
She was transported to SP Saratoga for processing where she recorded a 0.23% BAC.
Leveroni was issued tickets returnable to Malta Town Court on Oct. 23 and released to a sober third party.
On Sept. 21 at about 10:03 p.m., State Police of Wilton stopped a vehicle on Bluebird Road in Moreau for a vehicle and traffic law violation.
The driver was identified as Derek E. Burch, 37, of South Glens Falls.
Burch was arrested for driving while intoxicated and other vehicle and traffic law violations.
He was transported to SP Wilton for processing where he recorded a 0.16% BAC.
Investigation discovered Burch has had a previous DWI conviction in the last ten years.
He was issued tickets returnable to Moreau Town Court on Oct. 1 and released to a sober third party.
On Sept. 25 at about 7:22 p.m., State Police of Brunswick responded to a three-car crash on Church Street in Hoosick Falls.
Investigation determined a vehicle driven by Edward G. Hurlburt, 21, of Troy, was southbound when he struck another southbound vehicle.
After the initial crash, Hurlburt struck an unoccupied parked vehicle, a fence and a utility pole.
The passenger in Hurlburt’s vehicle sustained injuries and was transported to Albany Medical Center for evaluation and treatment.
