JERUSALEM — A 24-year-old Cohocton man was arrested on drug impairment charges Tuesday evening following a traffic stop on State Route 54a.
Dylon F. George was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs and driving with no or inadequate headlights, according to the Yates County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies initiated the traffic stop at 7:19 p.m. for a traffic violation.
George displayed several signs of impairment during the investigation, sheriff’s officials said.
He was administered field sobriety tests and subsequently arrested.
George was transported to Soldiers and Sailors Hospital where he submitted to a chemical test.
He was released on uniform traffic tickets and is scheduled to appear in Jerusalem Town Court at a later date.
