GREECE — Officers responded to the area of West Ridge Road on Oct. 8 at approximately 5:58 p.m. after receiving alerts from the department’s License Plate Reader system regarding a stolen vehicle.
Officers located the vehicle, a red 2019 Toyota, on Greece Ridge Center Drive.
Upon making contact, the driver, Luis Sosa, 30, of Rochester, refused repeated commands to exit the vehicle, resulting in a brief struggle.
Both Sosa and the female passenger were safely taken into custody moments later.
A search of both suspects revealed narcotics consistent with personal use.
Sosa was evaluated for impairment, submitted to field sobriety testing and a blood draw, and was subsequently arrested for driving while ability impaired by drugs.
The female passenger initially identified herself as Alexis Kenyon, but further investigation revealed her true identity as Asia Hassenhauer, 32, of Rochester.
Sosa, who is currently on parole for robbery in the second degree, and Hassenhauer were both charged and transported to the Monroe County Jail for arraignment.
Sosa was charged with criminal possession of stolen property third degree, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle third degree, aggravated unlicensed operation third degree, driving while ability impaired by drugs, and criminal possession of a controlled substance seventh degree.
Hassenhauer was charged with criminal possession of stolen property third degree, criminal impersonation second degree, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle third degree, criminal possession of a controlled substance seventh degree, and forgery second degree.
