2 injured in head-on crash in Harford

HARFORD — Two vehicles collided head-on on State Route 221 at Flint Road on Oct. 8 at approximately 11:13 a.m., injuring five people.

The Cortland County Sheriff’s Office said a female driver traveling west on Route 221 attempted to pass another vehicle when her car struck an eastbound vehicle.

The westbound driver and a male passenger were transported by Marathon Area Volunteer Ambulance Corps to Wilson Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The eastbound driver and three juvenile passengers were transported by Dryden Ambulance to Upstate University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The roadway was shut down for a short period following the crash.

The sheriff’s office was assisted by the Harford Fire Department, Dryden Fire Department, Marathon Fire Department, Marathon Area Volunteer Ambulance Corps, Dryden Ambulance, the Department of Environmental Conservation and Ron’s Towing.
