OSSIPEE — A Maine woman was arrested on multiple charges, including DWI and resisting arrest, after speeding more than 100 mph on Route 25.
At 10:23 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8, State Police dispatch received a report of a vehicle traveling 107 mph in a posted 55 mph zone on Route 25 westbound in Center Ossipee.
Trooper First Class Eric Call of the Troop E barracks responded and located the vehicle, a 2024 Hyundai Venue, and conducted a traffic stop.
The driver of the Hyundai was identified as Alisha Bernice Timmons, 36, of Portland, Maine.
During the traffic stop, Timmons showed signs of impairment and was ultimately taken into custody.
She was transported to the Carroll County House of Corrections to be processed.
Timmons has been charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, resisting arrest, criminal mischief, breach of bail, and open container.
She was held in preventive detention and later arraigned in the Ossipee Circuit Court on Thursday, Oct. 9.
