Moreau woman charged with pushing child down staircase

MOREAU — The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 26-year-old woman Tuesday on charges she intentionally pushed a child under 7 years old down a staircase.

Jordyn A. Mullarkey of Moreau was charged with second-degree assault, a class D felony, and endangering the welfare of a child, a class A misdemeanor.

The Sheriff’s Office received an abuse and neglect complaint Sept. 27 regarding an incident that reportedly occurred on Sand Hill Drive in Moreau.

Mullarkey was arraigned before Judge Jeffrey B. McCabe in Moreau Town Court and remanded to the Saratoga County Jail pending further proceedings.

The child received medical attention for non-life-threatening injuries.
