1 min read

DELHI — The Delhi Police Department arrested Xavier Calderon, 23, of New City, New York, on two counts of Criminal Trespass in the 2nd Degree following an investigation into separate incidents that occurred at a residence on Delaware Avenue.

Residents reported that Calderon entered their home and remained there without permission on two occasions.

On Sept. 27, Calderon allegedly broke into the residence and, when confronted by the occupants, claimed he was retrieving property he had left there the previous night.

The property in question was later located under a bed in one of the bedrooms.

Further investigation revealed that Calderon had been inside the residence on Sept. 26, when the tenants were away, and that he had slept in one of the bedrooms without permission.

The tenants reported that they do not know Calderon and had never authorized him to be inside the home.

Calderon was taken into custody without incident Monday and transported to Delaware County Centralized Arraignment Part Court for arraignment, where a Temporary Order of Protection was issued and served.
