Maine man arrested for driving 152 mph in Effingham

EFFINGHAM — A Maine man was arrested Oct. 5 after police clocked him driving 152 mph in a 55 mph zone on Route 25.

Effingham Police Sergeant Bryan Baker was conducting radar patrol at 6:23 p.m. when he observed a 2015 Chevrolet Camaro traveling eastbound at the excessive speed.

Baker stopped the vehicle and identified the driver as Bryce Legere, 45, of Limerick, Maine.

Legere was arrested and charged with reckless operation, reckless conduct with a deadly weapon, and speeding 26+ mph over the posted speed limit of 55 mph or less.

Legere was transported to the Carroll County Department of Corrections, where he was processed and booked.

He is scheduled to appear in Ossipee District Court on Nov. 26.
