Woman arrested on cocaine possession charge in Royalton

ROYALTON — Vermont State Police arrested a 37-year-old Barnard woman on felony drug charges following a traffic stop Thursday evening.

Andrea L. Veroneau was taken into custody at approximately 7:43 p.m. July 31 on Post Farm Road after troopers from the Royalton Barracks stopped her vehicle for a motor vehicle violation.

During the investigation, police seized the vehicle and obtained a search warrant from a judge.

Execution of the warrant revealed Veroneau was in possession of a felony amount of cocaine, according to police.

Veroneau was arrested without incident and transported to the Vermont State Police Royalton Barracks for processing.

She was cited to appear at Windsor County Superior Court in Woodstock on Nov. 25 at 8:30 a.m.
