SCHENECTADY — Police arrested a 32-year-old man in connection with a shooting that left a victim with gunshot wounds to both legs.
Officers responded to the area of Hulett Street and State Street at approximately 10:37 p.m. Oct. 5 for a report of shots fired.
Upon arrival, officers located a blood trail in the area.
A short time later, a male victim suffering from gunshot wounds was located on Catherine Street.
The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries to both legs.
During the investigation, detectives identified a suspect and subsequently made an arrest.
Police arrested Tarelle D. Rowell, 32, of Schenectady.
Rowell was charged with assault in the first degree, a Class B felony, and criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree, a Class C felony.
The investigation remains ongoing.
