HALFMOON — The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 53-year-old woman Friday on charges stemming from an alleged order of protection violation.
Dawn M. Grijalva of Halfmoon was charged with aggravated family offense, a class E felony, and criminal contempt in the second degree, a class A misdemeanor.
The Sheriff’s Office received an assist other agency call Tuesday at 3:17 p.m. for a possible order of protection violation on Fern Lane in Halfmoon.
Grijalva is accused of committing a specified offense under the statute having previously been convicted of a specified offense within the immediately preceding five years.
She is also charged with violating a provision of an order of protection by failing to stay away from the protected person.
Grijalva was arraigned before the Honorable Joseph V. Fodera in Halfmoon Town Court and remanded to the Saratoga County Jail pending further proceedings.
