BEDFORD — A Vermont man was arrested after a New Hampshire State Trooper encountered him driving in the wrong direction on Interstate 293.
Just before 1 a.m. Saturday, Trooper Madelynn Theve of the Troop B barracks was traveling northbound on I-293 in Bedford when she observed a vehicle traveling southbound in the northbound lanes.
Trooper Theve turned on her emergency lights and the driver of the wrong-way vehicle stopped near mile marker 3.2, where he was taken into custody and identified as Benjamin Mueller, 36, of White River Junction.
Mueller was charged with felony reckless conduct with a deadly weapon and reckless driving.
He is scheduled to appear in Merrimack District Court on Nov. 4.
Nobody was hurt as a result of this incident.
