CORTLAND — A 41-year-old homeless woman was arrested on a drug possession charge after officers discovered she had active warrants, according to the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office.
Tiffany I. Goff was observed by sheriff’s deputies on Port Watson Street at approximately 2:56 p.m. Oct. 1.
Officers determined Goff had several active warrants for her arrest out of Cortland City Court.
Goff was found to be in possession of a controlled substance and was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, a misdemeanor.
She was arrested at 3:04 p.m. and transported to the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office for processing.
Goff was released on an appearance ticket and is scheduled for arraignment in Cortland City Court on Oct. 20 at 9:00 a.m.
After processing, Goff was turned over to the Cortland City Police Department for the active warrants.
