Dudley teacher placed on leave after Taunton police incident

DUDLEY — A Shepherd Hill High School teacher has been placed on administrative leave following an incident in Taunton that prompted a police investigation.

The Dudley Police Department was notified Sept. 20 by Taunton police regarding an incident involving teacher Thomas Wilson that occurred in Taunton’s jurisdiction.

The Dudley-Charlton Regional School District immediately placed Wilson on administrative leave after being informed of the incident by police.

Taunton police have remained in contact with Dudley police throughout their ongoing investigation.

The Dudley Police Department has assigned investigators to the case, which remains active.

Police Chief Marek Karlowicz said the department’s highest priority is the safety, security and well-being of students in the community.

The school district administration has been fully cooperative during the investigation, according to police.

Police are encouraging parents and guardians to speak with their children and to contact the department directly with any questions or concerns.
