WHEATFIELD — A driver was arrested Thursday morning after authorities said he drove around emergency vehicles and traffic controls at a fatal pedestrian crash scene.

The incident occurred at 7:42 a.m. on Oct. 2 near 2335 Niagara Falls Boulevard.

The Niagara County Sheriff’s Office was investigating a fatal motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian.

The investigation required all northbound traffic to be rerouted to protect scene integrity and emergency personnel.

A red 2010 Chevrolet was observed driving around all traffic control, fire police and emergency vehicles.

The vehicle then began traveling northbound in the southbound lane on Niagara Falls Boulevard.

Sheriff’s Office members intervened and had the driver pull into a driveway and out of the traffic lane.

Seelbaugh was charged with operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs and aggravated unlicensed operation in the third degree.

He also was charged with multiple traffic infractions.

Additional charges may be pending for Seelbaugh.
