CHICOPEE — Two people were arrested Aug. 6 following a summer-long narcotics investigation at a Lavalle Avenue residence.
Christopher Kurtz and Tiffany Boberek were taken into custody when the Chicopee Police Narcotics Unit and Western Massachusetts FBI Gang Task Force executed a search warrant at the home.
The investigation began during the summer when police targeted the residence for suspected illegal narcotics trafficking.
Kurtz faces charges including three counts of trafficking 18 grams or more of a Class B substance, two counts of trafficking fentanyl more than 10 grams, two counts of carrying a firearm without a license, possession of a large capacity feeding device, possessing ammunition without a license, possession of a stun gun, and possession of a large capacity firearm during a felony.
Boberek faces similar drug trafficking charges along with subsequent offense charges for possession of Class E, Class B, and Class C substances.
Both suspects were present at the residence when the search warrant was executed.
