DOVER — A 27-year-old Dover man was arrested on six felony counts of possession of child sexual abuse images following an investigation by Dover Police.

Devin Finnegan was taken into custody without incident on the evening of Oct. 1 after detectives obtained an arrest warrant, Dover Police Chief David Terlemezian announced.

The investigation began after Dover Police received a tip from the New Hampshire Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

Investigators identified Finnegan as a suspect and obtained warrants for his arrest and to search his property.

The search yielded electronic evidence that will require further analysis and investigation, police said.

Finnegan was not eligible for bail under state law and is being held at the Strafford County House of Corrections.

He is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday at 10 a.m. in the 7th Circuit Court – District Division – Dover.

The ICAC Task Force is a statewide initiative dedicated to investigating offenders who exploit children online, and the Dover Police Department is a participating affiliate.
