PALMYRA — Troopers from SP Lyons on patrol stopped a Chevrolet Suburban traveling eastbound on State Route 31 in the town of Palmyra for Vehicle and Traffic Law violations on Sept. 28 at approximately 9:56 p.m.
While interviewing the driver, identified as Tyrelle J. Teabout, 28, of Newark, signs of intoxication were observed.
Standardized field sobriety tests were administered, which Teabout failed.
He was arrested and transported to SP Lyons for processing where he provided a breath sample of 0.15% BAC.
Teabout was charged with Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) – 1st Offense.
He was also charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle with a BAC of 0.08% or Higher – 1st Offense.
Additional Vehicle and Traffic Law violations were also filed.
Teabout was issued appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Palmyra Court on Oct. 15.
