SAUGERTIES — A 37-year-old Saugerties man was arrested early Monday morning following a complaint that led to multiple charges.
Isaias G. Guerra was initially arrested at about 12:50 a.m. Sept. 29 for third-degree assault, a misdemeanor, according to the Saugerties Police Department.
While being taken into custody, Guerra fought with an officer, police said.
He was subsequently charged with second-degree assault, a felony, as well as the misdemeanors of fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and resisting arrest.
Guerra was processed at the Saugerties Police Department and transported to Central Arraignment Part in Kingston for arraignment.
