JAMESTOWN — Officers from the Jamestown Police Department arrested a man with multiple felony warrants after he fled on a bicycle Sept. 27.
Ralph R. Patterson III was spotted by second platoon officers around 4:30 p.m. in the area of East 8th Street and North Main Street.
When officers attempted to take Patterson into custody on several active felony arrest warrants issued by Jamestown City Court, he fled on his bicycle.
After a brief pursuit, Patterson was taken into custody without further incident.
A search conducted during his arrest revealed methamphetamine on his person.
Patterson is being charged with resisting arrest and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree in addition to the outstanding warrants.
He is being held in the Jamestown City Jail pending arraignment.
In a separate incident Sept. 29, officers responded to a residence on the east side of the city around 1:13 p.m. to assist Jamestown City Code Enforcement in clearing a house scheduled to be condemned.
During the inspection, officers discovered two children under age 16 living in deplorable conditions.
Charles J. Murphy was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Jamestown City Jail.
Murphy faces two counts of endangering the welfare of a child in addition to an outstanding arrest warrant.
He is being held pending arraignment.
Later that day at 4:33 p.m., second platoon officers responded to a southside address for a domestic dispute.
Officers found Jennifer Yanik, 48, and Jeffrey Bohall, 40, outside a residence with physical injuries.
Investigation determined both parties had engaged in a physical altercation.
Both were arrested and transported to the Jamestown City Jail on charges of assault in the third degree.
They are being held pending arraignment.
