Boston police arrest man in domestic violence case involving firearm

BOSTON — Boston police have arrested a male suspect in a domestic violence incident involving a firearm in Roxbury.

Officers from District B-2 responded to the incident, according to the Boston Police Department.

The department said domestic violence remains one of the most dangerous and challenging situations officers face daily.

Police did not release additional details about the arrest or the suspect’s identity.

The department encouraged anyone experiencing domestic violence to seek help, stating that resources are available for victims and safety planning.

In emergencies, people should call 9-1-1, police said.

Non-emergency domestic violence situations can be reported anonymously by calling the CrimeStoppers Tip Line at 1-800-494-TIPS or by texting the word “TIP” to CRIME (27463).
