Highland police arrest 6 on charges including DWI, weapons possession

HIGHLAND — Town of Lloyd Police arrested six people on various charges between Sept. 22 and Sept. 28, according to a department press release.

Ray John Jr., 34, of Poughkeepsie, was arrested Sept. 28 and charged with driving while intoxicated after his vehicle was stopped for traffic violations on Route 44/55.

John was found in possession of a loaded firearm and charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

He was transported to Ulster County Jail to await arraignment in Centralized Arraignment Parts Court.

Michelle N. Jackson, 25, of Kingston, was arrested Sept. 26 and charged with driving while intoxicated, second-degree obstructing governmental administration and first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation after her vehicle was stopped for traffic violations on Route 9W.

Jackson was transported to Ulster County Jail to await arraignment in Centralized Arraignment Parts Court.

Bradford A. Jefferson, 40, of Kissimmee, Florida, was arrested Sept. 23 on a bench warrant for petit larceny, forgery and identity theft from Town of Poughkeepsie Police.

Jefferson was turned over to Town of Poughkeepsie Police on the warrant.

Gabriel J. Canino, 22, of Highland, was arrested Sept. 22 and charged with first-degree criminal contempt and second-degree harassment after he was involved in a domestic dispute.

He was transported to Centralized Arraignment Parts Court and arraigned before Judge Kesick and released.

Canino was due back in Town of Lloyd Court Sept. 25.

Philip G. Canino, 45, of Highland, was arrested Sept. 22 and charged with first-degree criminal contempt, aggravated family offense and second-degree harassment after he was involved in a domestic dispute.

He was transported to Centralized Arraignment Parts Court and arraigned before Judge Kesick, where he was remanded to Ulster County Jail on $1,000 cash bail.

Laura DeBruycker, 45, of Saugerties, was arrested Sept. 22 on a bench warrant for driving while ability impaired by drugs.

She was transported to Centralized Arraignment Parts Court, arraigned by Judge Kesick and remanded to Ulster County Jail on $500 cash bail.

DeBruycker was due in Town of Lloyd Court Sept. 25.
