Elmira man arrested as fugitive on Pennsylvania sexual extortion charge

ELMIRA — The Chemung County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of 36-year-old Clem M. Wright of Elmira as a fugitive from justice out of Bradford County, Pennsylvania.

Wright is charged with sexual extortion involving engaging in sexual conduct or nudity, in violation of Pennsylvania law.

On Sept. 29, the Criminal Investigation Division was notified that Wright, who is currently incarcerated at the Chemung County Jail on separate charges, was wanted out of Pennsylvania.

The Criminal Investigations Division received the warrant from Bradford County, requesting that Wright be held on the warrant.

Wright was subsequently arrested and processed as a fugitive from justice.

Wright was arraigned by the Chemung County Court and remanded to the Chemung County Jail, awaiting extradition to Pennsylvania.
