Hollis woman arrested on domestic violence, assault charges

HOLLIS — Officers were dispatched to a Wright Road address for a domestic disturbance on Sept. 26 at approximately 3:45 p.m.

Upon arrival, officers quickly identified that an assault had occurred.

The primary aggressor was identified as Abigail Shannon, 25, of Hollis.

Shannon was placed under arrest for domestic violence, simple assault.

When officers attempted to take her into custody, she became combative and assaulted an officer and an EMT who had been requested to the scene for medical reasons.

Shannon was transported to a local hospital for evaluation, and then to the Hollis Police Department for processing.

Bail was set at $1,000 cash.

She was transported to the Hillsborough County Department House of Corrections pending bail and arraignment at the Ninth Circuit Court, Nashua District.

Shannon is charged with domestic violence, simple assault, simple assault (two counts) and resisting arrest/detention.
