Morristown police plan sobriety checkpoint for Oct. 6 weekend

MORRISTOWN — The Morristown Police Department will join multiple law enforcement agencies for a sobriety checkpoint during the weekend of Oct. 6.

The Stowe Police Department, Morristown Police Department, Lamoille County Sheriff’s Department and Vermont State Police will conduct the checkpoint within Lamoille County.

Officers will work to identify impaired drivers on highways during the operation.

Police will also enforce seatbelt, child restraint and other motor vehicle laws during the checkpoint.

Sgt. Ronald Audet announced the checkpoint in a press release dated Sept. 29.
