Cambridge crash causes traffic delays on Route 108

CAMBRIDGE — A 67-year-old Essex man crashed his pickup truck into a large rock while trying to avoid another vehicle on Route 108 South at The Notch on Sept. 28 at 1:18 p.m.

Clesson Rounds was driving a 2019 Ford F-150 south through The Notch when the vehicle in front of him came to an abrupt stop, according to Vermont State Police.

To avoid a collision, Rounds swerved left and struck the rock head-on.

Rounds sustained minor injuries in the crash and was wearing a seat belt.

The truck sustained front-end damage.

The crash caused significant traffic delays through The Notch.

Road conditions were dry and weather was clear at the time of the incident.

Cambridge Fire, Cambridge Rescue and E&M Towing assisted state police at the scene.
