HALFMOON — The Sheriff’s Office conducted a vehicle stop for moving from lane unsafely Saturday at 1:48 a.m. on Guideboard Road in the town of Halfmoon.
Investigation into the stop led to the arrest of Candace M. Fryer, 36, of Halfmoon for aggravated DWI, DWI, operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol content of 0.08% or greater, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the 1st degree and moving from lane unsafely.
The aggravated DWI and aggravated unlicensed operation charges are class E felonies, while moving from lane unsafely is an infraction.
Fryer is accused of operating a motor vehicle while in an intoxicated condition and at a time when her blood alcohol content was 0.18%.
The charges were elevated to felonies due to a previous DWI conviction within the preceding 10 years.
She is also accused of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated while her driver’s license was revoked for DWI and of moving her vehicle from its lane without first ascertaining that she could do so safely.
Fryer was released on appearance tickets pending further proceedings in the Halfmoon Town Court.
