RUTLAND — Vermont State Police are searching for a 31-year-old New York man after a vehicle chase that ended with drug and weapons charges.

Cody Tracy of Granville, New York, fled from troopers during a traffic stop on Dorr Drive at approximately 11:51 p.m. Monday, according to police.

The vehicle was later found in Wallingford and seized by authorities.

Police obtained a search warrant and found methamphetamine and a firearm inside the vehicle.

Tracy faces charges of eluding, grossly negligent operation, methamphetamine possession and prohibited persons.

Logan Irwin, 27, a transient from Rutland, was identified as a passenger and charged with methamphetamine possession.

Police also arrested Cindy Peer, 58, of Castleton, on charges of impersonating another in an application after investigators determined she had falsely registered the vehicle that belonged to Tracy.
