CENTRAL SQUARE — Officers with the Central Square Police Department, in conjunction with agents from the New York State Office of Cannabis Management, executed a search warrant Thursday at The Herbal Center located at 3078 East Ave.
The warrant was the result of a six-week investigation that began with a citizen complaint.
The investigation concluded with the arrest of two employees for Criminal Possession of Cannabis in the First Degree, a Class D Felony.
The business was permanently closed by OCM agents for illegally selling cannabis without a dispensary license.
OCM agents seized over 250 cannabis vapes, approximately 200 cannabis edibles, approximately 200 cannabis concentrates and over 13 pounds of cannabis flower.
Both employees were issued appearance tickets returnable to the Village of Central Square Court.
