Manchester police arrest man in Union Street stabbing

MANCHESTER — Manchester Police have arrested 32-year-old Randy Katanga of Manchester in connection with a stabbing at 434 Union Street.

On Sept. 23, at approximately 5:30 p.m., officers responded to the address for a report of a stabbing.

They located a man suffering from a laceration to his right bicep.

The victim told officers he had gotten into a fight with another man, later identified as Katanga, during which he was slashed in the arm.

Through the investigation, the police established probable cause to issue a warrant charging Katanga with First Degree Assault.

He was taken into custody last evening and will be arraigned in Manchester District Court today.
