Juvenile crashes into guardrail in Richford

RICHFORD — A 17-year-old driver crashed into a guardrail at the intersection of River Street and North Branch Road on Sept. 24 at approximately 10:03 a.m.

Vermont State Police troopers from the St. Albans Barracks responded to the single-vehicle crash involving a blue 2021 Honda Civic.

The vehicle was traveling south on River Street when it left the right side of the roadway and struck the guardrail at the beginning section of the intersection.

The Honda sustained moderate front end damage and also damaged a section of the guardrail.

The juvenile operator, who was wearing a seatbelt, was not injured and did not require hospitalization.

Road conditions were dry and weather was clear at the time of the crash.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

Cota’s Towing assisted troopers in removing the undriveable vehicle from the scene.
