KEENE — New York State Police arrested a 36-year-old Keene man on multiple charges including first-degree burglary and second-degree menacing after he allegedly entered a residence without permission and brandished a shotgun at victims.
Paul J. Larose was arrested Sept. 21 at approximately 7:46 p.m. after troopers responded to a menacing complaint on NYS Route 9N in the town of Keene.
The investigation revealed that Larose had entered a residence without permission and brandished a shotgun, pointing it at victims present in the house.
One of the victims managed to disarm Larose and take the shotgun away from him.
Larose was transported to SP Ray Brook for processing and held at the Essex County Jail on a pre-arraignment hold.
He was arraigned Sept. 22 in the Town of Keene Court and remanded to the Essex County Jail with bail set at $5,000 cash, $10,000 bond, and $20,000 partially secured bond.
Larose was charged with first-degree burglary, second-degree menacing, criminal possession of a firearm, and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
