ANSONIA — The Ansonia Police Department is investigating a fatal motor vehicle accident that occurred at approximately 7:44 a.m. on Pershing Drive between Clifton Avenue and Bridge Street.
Pershing Drive is closed until further notice in that area, and drivers and pedestrians should avoid the area.
The accident is still an active scene, with the Connecticut State Police Crash Reconstruction Unit and Derby Police Department assisting with the investigation.
Police are not releasing the name of the individual involved in the accident at this time.
