MANCHESTER — A Manchester woman has surrendered to police in connection with a fatal hit-and-run accident.
On Sept. 17 at approximately 6:40 p.m., Manchester Police responded to the Taco Bell at 1050 Second Street for a report of a car versus pedestrian accident.
Officers located 60-year-old Juliana Harbeck of Rindge in the parking lot with life-threatening injuries.
She was immediately taken to a local hospital, where she later passed away.
The investigation determined that Harbeck had been hit by a vehicle, and the driver fled the scene.
Police identified the driver as 27-year-old Maria Camila Posada Canizales.
A warrant was issued for her arrest, and on Sept. 22, Canizales turned herself in and was charged with Conduct After an Accident – Felony.
She was held pending a court appearance today.
