Multiple arrests over three days in Jamestown

JAMESTOWN — Officers of the Jamestown Police Department 2nd Platoon responded to a southside business for a reported past tense shoplifting on Sept. 19 at 4 p.m.

After reviewing surveillance footage, officers identified the suspect as 41-year-old Anthony M. Camarata.

Officers returned to the business at 8:30 p.m. after it was reported that Camarata had returned to the store.

Camarata was taken into custody without incident and transported to Jamestown City Jail, where he was charged with petit larceny and on outstanding warrants out of Jamestown City Court.

Camarata was held pending arraignment.

On Sept. 20 at 9 a.m., officers observed a male and female in a condemned residence on the north side of the city.

The occupants were identified as Austin T. Schwab and Nicole L. Hixson.

Both were taken into custody and transported to the Jamestown City Jail, where they were booked and released per New York State bail reform.

Officers of the Jamestown Police Department 1st Platoon responded to a downtown business for a shoplifting complaint on Sept. 21 around 12:31 p.m.

Officers located the suspect, Donna J. Torres, a short distance away, still in possession of the stolen property.

Torres was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Jamestown City Jail.

Torres was held in the city jail pending arraignment.

Officers of the Second Platoon responded to an aggravated harassment complaint in downtown Jamestown on Sept. 21 at around 4:21 p.m.

Through investigation it was found that Crystal M. Vogt called the victim’s personal phone multiple times and called the victim’s place of work over 15 times with no purpose of legitimate conversation.

Officers located Vogt and took her into custody.

Vogt was transported to the Jamestown City Jail, where she is being held pending arraignment for aggravated harassment in the second degree.

Officers responded to an address on the south side for a domestic dispute on Sept. 21 at about 7:38 p.m.

Officers located Dwayne A. Andrade walking out of the residence.

Through investigation, officers learned that Andrade arrived at the residence of the victim and began arguing.

Andrade took the phone from the victim while they were calling 911 and threw it onto the floor.

Andrade then entered the victim’s apartment without permission, and the victim has a valid order of protection against him.

Andrade was placed into custody and transported to the City Jail without incident.

Andrade is charged with criminal contempt in the second degree, criminal mischief in the fourth degree, and criminal trespass in the second degree.
