Police seek person of interest in Boston Commons arson incidents

BOSTON — Detectives are asking for the public’s help to identify a person of interest in connection with arson incidents on Monday, September 22.

The suspect was seen lighting several trash barrels on fire at approximately 2:30 p.m. in the Boston Commons and on the Commonwealth Avenue Mall.

The Boston Police Department’s Fire Investigation Unit is actively reviewing the incident.
