CONCORD — A local woman was charged with driving under the influence following a single-vehicle crash Sunday evening.
Vermont State Police from the St. Johnsbury barracks responded to the crash on Shadow Lake Road near Grist Mill Pit Road at approximately 5:01 p.m. on Sept. 21.
Police identified the operator as Sarah Pennypacker, 20, of Concord.
Pennypacker was driving a 2016 Ford F150 when it crashed, causing significant front-end damage.
The road conditions were dry and the weather was clear at the time of the incident.
Pennypacker was not wearing a seat belt and sustained suspected minor injuries.
She was transported to Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital for treatment.
Police investigation determined Pennypacker was driving under the influence of alcohol and with a criminally suspended license.
She was also found to be in violation of her court-ordered conditions of release.
Pennypacker was issued a citation to appear in Essex Superior Court to answer to the charges.
