WEST RUTLAND — A juvenile pedestrian was injured after being struck by a vehicle turning into a driveway Sunday afternoon.
The crash occurred on Marble Street near Smith Street at approximately 4:57 p.m. on Sept. 21.
Troopers from the Vermont State Police Rutland Barracks responded to the scene.
Investigation revealed a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee, operated by Brianne Hargrave, 26, of West Rutland, was turning into a driveway from Marble Street.
The vehicle collided with a juvenile who was on a child’s bicycle in the crosswalk that crossed the driveway.
Hargrave was wearing a seat belt and was not injured.
Her vehicle sustained minor damage.
The juvenile pedestrian sustained suspected moderate, non-life-threatening injuries to extremities.
The juvenile was transported to Rutland Regional Medical Center for treatment.
The Vermont State Police were assisted on scene by the West Rutland Fire Department, Rutland County Sheriff’s Department, and Regional Ambulance Service.
Weather was clear and road conditions were dry at the time of the crash.
