Wallingford man wanted after alleged domestic assault, standoff

WALLINGFORD — A Wallingford man is wanted on multiple felony charges after an alleged domestic assault and standoff with police early Friday morning.

Troopers from the Vermont State Police – Rutland Barracks were notified of a suspicious incident on Nash Drive at approximately 5:19 a.m.

An investigation indicated that Rodney Davis, 62, caused serious injury to a family or household member.

Troopers learned Davis was in possession of a firearm and on foot in a forested area east of Nash Drive.

Troopers established telephone communication with Davis, who spoke with police but refused to exit the woods.

Contact with Davis ended when it is believed his cellular phone lost power.

Police were unable to reestablish communication and his current location is unknown.

Davis is 5 feet 11 inches tall, approximately 185 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes.

His current attire is unknown.

Davis is wanted on charges of first-degree aggravated domestic assault, unlawful restraint and burglary.
