FAIR HAVEN — A 35-year-old Castleton man was arrested Wednesday night after allegedly assaulting a police officer during a disturbance call.
Daryn P. Lowell was charged with assault on a law enforcement officer, disorderly conduct and violation of conditions of release, according to the Fair Haven Police Department.
Police responded to a reported disturbance at a Main Street residence at 9:18 p.m. Wednesday.
Officers found Lowell outside the residence and attempted to speak with him.
Lowell allegedly approached police and grabbed an officer while attempting to assault them, police said.
After a brief struggle, Lowell was taken into custody.
Police determined Lowell was intoxicated, which violated his conditions of release.
Judge Cortland Corsones had previously ordered Lowell not to buy, possess or consume alcoholic beverages as part of his release conditions.
Lowell was lodged at the Marble Valley Correctional Center for lack of bail.
