DELHI — A 29-year-old Walton man was arrested Monday on felony coercion charges following an investigation into threats made over a disputed contractor invoice.

Korey O. Bush faces charges of coercion in the first degree, a class D felony, and two counts of aggravated harassment in the second degree, class A misdemeanors, according to the Delhi Police Department.

Police received a report and supporting depositions documenting repeated threats of violence directed at a Delhi resident and his property manager.

According to reports, Bush made multiple statements via text message and telephone threatening physical harm, including threats to assault, kill, and unlawfully enter the victim’s residence.

The threats were made in connection with a financial dispute over contractor services and were considered credible by both the victim and his representative.

Based on the investigation, complaints were prepared and submitted to the Delhi Town Court, resulting in the issuance of an arrest warrant and a temporary order of protection.

Bush was taken into custody and held at the Delaware County Jail pending arraignment at Delaware County Centralized Arraignment Part Court.
