LINCOLN — Rhode Island State Police made three arrests over two days this week, including one person who turned himself in and two others during traffic stops.
On Wednesday Sept. 17 at 4:00 p.m., troopers arrested Jiyong Jang, 56, of West Greenwich, for obstructing an officer in the execution of duty.
The arrest resulted from an accident investigation that occurred on Route 95 South in Providence, with Jang turning himself in at the Lincoln Barracks.
Jang was processed and released on a misdemeanor summons with a future Sixth Division District Court arraignment date.
Later Wednesday at 5:14 p.m., troopers arrested Corey Woodard, 40, of West Warwick, during a motor vehicle stop on Route 6 in Providence.
Woodard was arrested on three Superior Court full bench warrants: possession of a controlled substance originating from the Coventry Police Department, and two warrants for manufacturing/delivering/possession with intent originating from the Coventry and Warwick police departments.
Woodard was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and turned over to the Adult Correctional Institutions Men’s Intake Center.
On Thursday Sept. 18 at 1:10 a.m., troopers arrested Jandel Morales, 20, of Providence, during a motor vehicle stop on Branch Avenue in Providence.
Morales was arrested on two active affidavit and arrest warrants: one from the Johnston Police Department for violation of a protection order and another from the Cranston Police Department for domestic crank/obscene telephone calls.
Morales was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and turned over to the Cranston Police Department.
