AMITYVILLE — Amityville police officers responded to a business on West Street in the early morning hours of Sept. 17 after reports of suspicious activity.
Officers Mullin, Schwenzer, Taylor and Oliver entered the premises and apprehended a male subject actively committing a burglary inside the building.
The subject was immediately taken into custody.
Investigation revealed the arrest was connected to a prior burglary within the village that occurred a few days earlier.
The prior case has been closed in connection with the arrest.
