ROCKLAND — Two people were arrested and drugs were seized after police responded to a report of a man under the influence on Rankin Street on Sept. 9.

Police were dispatched to the address for a report of a male under the influence of drugs who fled into a residence before officers arrived.

Officers learned the man, 40-year-old Joseph Caron of Rockland, had several active warrants for his arrest.

Officers developed probable cause to enter the residence and located Caron.

Police also found evidence of illicit drug use inside the residence along with several other individuals, including 27-year-old Kayla Faller of Rockland, who was arrested on five active arrest warrants.

Officers seized the house and applied for a search warrant to search for drugs.

The search warrant was granted and officers conducted a search of the residence, seizing crack cocaine and fentanyl.

Additional criminal charges are pending.

Police said they often receive information and complaints from citizens regarding locations around the city suspected to be involved in drug trafficking.

Rockland police have made multiple narcotics arrests through proactive and directed patrols and executed a number of narcotics-related search warrants in the past year.
