Man arrested for video voyeurism at Lincoln Target

LINCOLN — A 23-year-old Massachusetts man was arrested Monday for allegedly secretly recording women while they shopped at Target in Lincoln Mall.

Joseph Archambault of Millville, Massachusetts, was taken into custody at approximately 5:30 p.m. after officers responded to reports of a male secretly recording women, according to the Lincoln Police Department.

An investigation revealed that Archambault had been using his phone to secretly record multiple women without their knowledge or consent in the shopping aisles within Target.

Surveillance footage from the store corroborated the reports, police said.

Archambault was charged with video voyeurism under Rhode Island General Law 11-64-2, a felony offense.

The Lincoln Police Department thanked Target’s Loss Prevention team for their quick actions and cooperation during the incident.

Police said anyone who was at Target in Lincoln Mall on Sept. 15 around 5:30 p.m. and believes they may have been recorded should contact Detective Lieutenant Stewart at [email protected].
