GREENWICH — Greenwich detectives executed a search warrant at the residence of Kristopher Chimblo, 36, on Aug. 27 after receiving reliable information he was illegally in possession of firearms.
The search uncovered that Chimblo, a convicted felon, was in possession of firearms, some fully automatic, and firearm parts.
An arrest warrant was issued for Criminal Possession of a Firearm.
Chimblo was later located in Westchester County, New York, and arrested as a fugitive from justice.
On Sept. 9, Greenwich officers extradited Chimblo from Westchester County Correctional Facility and brought him to police headquarters.
Chimblo was given a $250,000 bond.
The investigation is ongoing.
