NORTHFIELD — A 45-year-old man was arrested Sunday evening on multiple charges including domestic assault following a family disturbance on Diego Drive.
Francis Ryan of Northfield was taken into custody at approximately 6:52 p.m. after Vermont State Police responded to reports of a family fight.
An investigation led to Ryan being charged with domestic assault, unlawful mischief and offense committed in the presence of a child.
Ryan resisted arrest but was quickly taken into custody, according to police.
He was transported to the Berlin State Police Barracks for processing.
Ryan was released on conditions and is scheduled to appear in Washington County Superior Court Criminal Division on Monday at 12:30 p.m.
